Dear colleagues:
In light of the Radsafe discussion of the article (and related
University of Toronto study) pointed out by Eric Golden regarding
low-dose, chronic gamma irradiation being beneficial, some of you may
find my recent seminar entitled "Background radiation may be protecting
us from cancer and other diseases" to be of interest. The seminar (pdf
version) can now be accessed via my website
http://www.radiation-scott.org <http://www.radiation-scott.org/> under
the Low Dose Research section.
For those who will be attending the upcoming ANS meeting in San
Francisco, there will be a plenary session entitled "Has the LNT
outlived its usefulness" on the morning of September 13th. The session
will be chaired by Dr. Chauncey Starr of EPRI.
