Friends,

 

This is a substantial article in the current LA Weekly that, despite some
egregious errors, presents as "balanced" a view of nuclear power as has been
written in a long time.  It seems to reflect the fundamental framework that
affects the public perception of all things nuclear, even when they do not
have all this background, especially on radiation and radiation effects.
This seems to indicate where more substantial background information and
specific factual materials can contribute to addressing public understanding.
