I have no idea what efforts are implied by these "state-of-the-art" radiation testings. If these expenses are 'reasonable', such a program should be welcomed as providing facts. Facts by which the wild claims surrounding DU radiation effects could be countered since alarmists usually feed on uncertainty/anxiety provoked by the lack of facts.

That does not mean that I want to belittle the hardships that have been experienced by persons mentioned. Yet, which combination of the host of other possible stress factors of being a combatant were causative can only be assessed after all of them have been duly scrutinized.
