[ RadSafe ] US Radiation Compensation Payments

The US Government Accountability Office (GAO) have just released an
interesting 13 page summary of payments made under the US Radiation
Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). The GAO is essentially an
Congressional audit body similar to the Parliamentary National Audit
Office (NAO) in the UK. Total compensation payments made to date under
RECA have been USD $926 million (GBP £523 million).
