[ RadSafe ] Po-210: What is a unit?

I checked the United Nuclear web site which was the source of the
original statement. A statement on their website about the use of
Polonium-210 as a poison currently reads "You would need about 15,000 of
our Polonium-210 needle sources..." rather than "15,000 units". Their
needle sources contain 0.1 microcuries of Po-210 (presumably measured at
the time of manufacture).
I post this solely to resolve the question at hand, not as an
endorsement (or the contrary) of any individual or group involved in the
matters under discussion.
