RADSAFERS,

 

Does anyone know/remember when the US stopped producing Plutonium?  Was
it during the Carter administration?   I remember that he stopped
reactor-rod recycling, but I was trying to remember when Pu and HEU
production ceased.  I'm pretty sure it was by presidential order in the
1980's (1983?).  This is just the end of a lunch-time conversation with
a bunch of co-workers, nothing serious...
