Dear Mora Cañadas Juan Carlos
Some operational quantities for intakes are the annual limit on intake
(ALI), derived air concentration (DAC) and maximum permissible
intake/concentration (MPC/I).
Details for available publications that describe these can be found on the
ICRP http://www.icrp.org/ or NCRP http://www.ncrponline.org/ web sites.
John

Subject: [ RadSafe ] Operational quantities
Good morning.
I would like to ask a conceptual question to the group.
I have an undertanding problem on this "operational quantity" concept. I
have always use this concept for external doses (Hp(10), H*(0.07)...), but I
have read some references about operational quantities for intake of
radionuclides.
Can anyone explain to me what those internal operational quantities are? Or
at least any document where I could read about it?
Thank you very much.
