[ RadSafe ] 49 cfr 173.435 specific activity values

'Specific Activity' is defined as "Total activity of a given nuclide per 
gramof a compund. element or radioactive nuclide". This from the 
Radiological Health Handbook,  Department of Health Education and Welfare, 
Revisd Edition (1970).  This is one source.
