I receive the monthly newsletter, Citizen's Watch, as you can, by request from:
 Tri-Valley CAREs, 2582 Old First St, Livermore,CA, 94551 (925)442-7148
www.trivalleycares.org

Citizens Against a Radioactive Environment. The name exposes purpose and ignorance.
I find more in that newletter about the nuclear project current status at LLNL (or lack thereof)
than from a visit to LLNL or calling contacts of patients who work there.
It is run by UCBerkeley (where one of my profs was a declared Communist)
and the management has huge funding now for "Climate Change"
- but little for national defense, as when Teller and Wood ran it.

They do NOT yet accept nuclear energy to reduce CO2 !

Obivously you missed the point. Barbara's examples of
what was in the past needs to be compared with new
license applications and the current extension of
nuclear plant operations. Of course pro-nuclear and
anti-nuclear actions are not mutually exclusive. The
anti-nuclear efforts have been working for years. But
have they dealt a "death blow" to nuclear power? Who
knows, the good people of California may soon see that
having a nuclear power plant will be essential to
their continued economic growth.

By the way, life is never fair.
