This Ci total sounds several magnitudes too low. Turkey point with their
two fossile units (oil instead of coal) next to their two nuclear units
use to set off most of the RM14 friskers at the nuke units almost daily
from what was coming out of the stacks. Ever seen the statistics on
amount of coal burned in just one plant per year, it is incredible. At
Jeffrey Energy Center near Wolf Creek KS. The Wyoming coal trains come
in all day long to keep up with that plant, and they have 5 engines
going 80 mph down the track.

The release from Coal Plants was studied by the NCRP back in 1982. The
total release from 154 typical coal plants was 2,630.23 Ci. Alex Gabbard
did a good paper on it entitled "Coal Combustion: Nuclear Resource or
Danger".
