Could you elaborate on the assumptions inherent in this statement?   
Given an ion chamber calibrated to indicate mR/hr when detecting only  
gammas with the (beta) window closed, what is the "conventional  
correction factor" that converts a reading with the window open to an  
energy absorbed dose in mRad?
