  Shouldn't the dose internally be indicated by the reading (0.027mRhr,
2x the background of 0.013 mRhr) when on top of me when I lie on the
bags of KCl? Penetration of whatever energy radiation as observed would
appear to be indicated thus.

The benefit from these sources does not dependent much on the proximity
dose-rate measurements. We need the gamma/x-ray spectra. The skin dose
doesn't contribute much, although there is immunological stimulation in
the skin (as there is with UV radiation). The significant doses are at

that the primary penetrating gamma from Rn, or uranium ore, is the
Bi-214 gamma. Are there others?)
