I have used the Exploranium extensively. It is excellent for Cs-137 
contamination, and generally good for conditions where there are a small 
number of gamma peaks, all well separated and well above background. Its 
limitation is the same as with any other sodium-iodide detector: the gamma 
peaks are broad, they often overlap, and at low levels they are difficult 
for the instrument to identify.
