Description: Division of Radiation Safety (DRS) at the
National Institutes of Health offers career enhancing

Duties will be assisting senior-level staff performing
routine health physics area duties such as: surveys
and inspections of laboratories; reviews and follow
ups on survey reports prepared by contractor;
investigates external and internal radiation exposures
to NIH and contractor personnel and conducts
inventories and leak tests of sealed radiation sources
used in biomedical research or therapeutic and
diagnostic clinical research involving human subjects.


Participates with senior-level staff in special
assignments such as assisting in oversight of
radioactive waste management activities.  The
individual may need to use integral calculus and
differential equations to solve radiation protection
problems in some specialty areas.

Participates in the radiation safety training program
by preparing training materials and lecturing on
standard radiation safety procedures and requirements
or assisting in 'hands on' training workshops.

Salary: Annual Salary -- 33,309.00 - 72,421.00 USD
