Oops: folk-sell IS the correct (marine) pronunciation for forecastle!

As is "Wooster" for Worcestershire. The "Queens" English can be funny at

Dan, et.al.  One of my favorites is "forecastle", pronounced "folk-sell".
Another is the city of "bum-in-ham".

Actually, I believe it comes more from Texas, as in San An-ton-ya (San
Antonio) or La-ray-da (Laredo). Been there, heard it said.....said it,
