Senior Radiation safety Technician

The Office of Laboratory Safety at The George Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Senior Radiation Safety Technologist. This position is responsible for monitoring for radioactive contamination, laboratory and research area surveys, coordinating radioactive waste disposal, responding to emergencies involving radiation and radioactive materials, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in health physics, physics, chemistry or engineering or an equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 2-3 years experience working with unsealed radioactive material, plus 1 year experience with radiation safety.
