[ RadSafe ] NYC Council bill on detectors: Simple question

Unfortunatly it is not new for NY to inroduce legislation requiring registration of technology. The State introduced laws requiring registration etc of laseres in 1972. As far as I know this is still in place, see http://www.labor.state.ny.us/workerprotection/safetyhealth/sh50.shtm
