It was known that a paper on the interphone study project is under review and is about to be published. Apparently, the specialists were divided; they could not arrive at unanimous conclusions. This is nothing unusual. Publication of the present paper is going to vitiate the atmosphere further.
The growth of cell phone industry is overwhelming. One of the impediments in its way is the court cases filed by interested groups. Some of them believe that cell phones and cellphone
base stations are causing health effects. The judiciary inIndia has taken a pragmatic approach so far. Courts have not accepted statements on alleged harm as gospel truth
The present paper will now be produced before the courts. I am unable to understand why the IARC paper is taking so much time to get published. There may be some risk; all indications are that it is low level risk. Is that low level risk acceptably low to be considered as no risk. I believe it is..

Here is the opinion I posted on Medical News Today:
EVEN IF there is a link between cell phones and cancer (far from demonstrated), EMF is still orders of magnitude from being the main health effect directly attributable to cell phones. The most obvious is accidents caused by people being distracted by their phone when they should be doing something else. I'll bet everyone reading this has been in such an accident, or narrowly avoided one (or probably more). The death toll, to say nothing of life-changing injuries, is huge.
The second health effect is the ability to summon emergency help, almost instantly, almost anywhere. It would be almost impossible to calculate how many lives cell phones save, or greatly improve by decreasing negative situations.
In comparison to these, focusing cell phone EMF is like worrying if the emergency rations in the lifeboats on the Titanic were low-sodium.
