Following Franz's reasoning, i.e.,"Radiation Protection
is nothing national, but it is international and this should be reflected
by the web site" I would advocate somebody who does not belong to any country, that is, somebody outside the austrian-web, canadian-web, english-web, etc.

Sandy, you might be surprised, but I fully support you opinion. Marcel has
made an extremely well job and I personally have always supported his
decisions, though I have even been temporally banned from the list....
It seems to be impossible to persuade him to continue, but what I and most
of RADSAFErs would not appreciate is the take-over by some US-Hardliners
from US-governmental organisations and even worse from companies who clearly
are dependend of US contracts. Such incredible proposals we have already
read on RADSAFE.
I therefore advocate somebody outside from the US-Web. Radiation Protection
is nothing national, but it is international and this should be reflected
by the web site!!!!

Topics of interest to the radiation protection community have been quite
lacking, and the recent personal attacks and off-topic discussions simply
need to cease. Having been a member of this professional list since the
1980s, it's very disheartening to see what has become of the list. Many
members have departed and their knowledge, expertise and insight has been
certainly missed.
Now that Marcel is looking for a replacement, one must wonder whether this
list will survive to see another day. I hope so.
Please, let's get back to pertinent topics that meet the goals of the list.
We're about to enter a New Year. Let's all start fresh and ready to promote
the industry that we all chose as our livelihood.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Sandy
