[ RadSafe ] Position announcement for interested professionals with US Dept of Veterans Affairs

The Veterans Health Administration of the Department of Veterans Affairs
is recruiting for the position of Chief Consultant, Environmental Health
Strategic Health Care Group (SHG).  The environmental Health SHG is
currently composed of three inter-related national programs:  The
Environmental Hazards Service, the Environmental Epidemiology Service,
and the Radiation and Physical Exposure Service.  In addition, the
Environmental  Health SHG manages several major VHA Programs, including:
Policy and program development related to ongoing scientific updates by
the National Academy of Sciences/Institute of Medicine on the health
effects of Agent Orange and service in the Gulf War, three War Related
Illness and Injury Study Centers, and a Depleted Uranium and Toxic
Embedded Fragments Center.  The Environmental SHG also writes and
distributes newsletters to veterans with concerns about
deployment-related exposures from various military campaigns. 

 

There are two separate announcements: one for a physician; another for a
PhD prepared professional. Both announcements are for the same job.
