October 26 - October 30, 2009
San Antonio, Texas

The organizing committee of the 55th annual Radiobioassay and
Radiochemistry Measurements Conference solicits abstracts for papers and
workshops in the following topical areas:

· In-vivo and In-vitro radiobioassay
· Advances in radiochemical separations
· Advances in Environmental Methods
· Decommissioning, decontamination, and
restoration activities
· Quality assurance/quality control,
performance testing, and round robins
· Calculations and Statistics
· Low-level radiochemical measurements
techniques
· Rapid analytical methods in response to
emergencies
· Radioisotopes in Nuclear Medicine
· International Radiochemistry Issues and
Methods
· Miscellaneous topics

The above list does not constitute the program topics; however, it is
intended to solicit input from which the program will be organized.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Preliminary abstracts will be accepted to offer authors the opportunity to
submit research material that is either complete or still in progress.
This policy establishes an opportunity for attendees to discuss new
findings and resolve problems of mutual interest related to the analysis
of bioassay and environmental samples. The fundamental benefits for the
participants are new ideas and approaches that can be taken and directly
applied in their work environment to improve their capabilities.

Preliminary abstracts shall be submitted on the attached
form. Submission of preliminary abstracts facilitates program planning
by the steering committee.

Final abstracts will be accepted having no more than five pages including
figures, tables, and references.
(1) All abstracts should be submitted with pages numbered as a Word
document attachment to an email;
(2) The name of the author who will be making the presentation should be
underlined;
(3) Abstracts should be single spaced using a 12 point font; and
(4) Provide at least one inch margins on all sides of the standard 8.5 by
11 inch paper.

Final abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Send the initial and final abstracts by email to abstracts at rrmc-baer.org.
If you have any questions at this time concerning the technical sessions
or workshops, please contact the technical and workshop session co-chair's
Virgene Mulligan and William Hayes at the above email address.

PRESENTATION INFORMATION

Important information for presenters: In response to many comments and
scientific discussions that have characterized this conference, we have
allotted 20 minutes for oral presentations. Since the question and answer
period usually results in a great deal of scientific discussion, we ask
that the speakers plan to allow a minimum of 7-10 minutes for discussion.
Total time per speaker will be limited to 20 minutes so that we can remain
on schedule.

ABSTRACT DEADLINE

July 15, 2009 Deadline for the preliminary abstracts
August 17, 2009 Notification of Abstract and Workshop acceptance
August 31, 2009 Deadline for final abstracts

GOLF OUTING

The RRMC 2009 is planning a golf outing - details will be announced
later. A number of vendors have expressed interest in helping to make
this event a success (e.g., prizes, lessons to help you win prizes, or
taking care of the tab at the beverage cart). Please contact Larry Jassin
at Eichrom Technologies with a no-obligation expression of general
interest in participating or suggestions by July 1, 2009 to help us plan.
More details will be available in future announcements. We will try to
accommodate players of all skill levels by using a Texas-scramble format.
Larry can be reached at jassin at eichrom.com.
