Ontario Power Generation, a multiunit nuclear generation company
operating 10 CANDU reactors in Canada, would like to know what other
sites do in response to "EPD Dose Rate Alarms".

What levels do you follow-up on?
What actions are taken?
Do you use a specific Form?
Is there wording in your Radiation Work Plans to deal with permitted
alarms of short duration, i.e. passing through high dose areas
momentarily?
How many RWPs do you have? How many are Standing and how many are Job
Specific? Are they treated differently?
What types of EPD are in use?
What data, if any, is mined from an EPD as part of the follow-up
investigation to an alarm?
Do you lock out workers if they alarm their EPD?
Are these expectations covered in training?
