Depends what kind of reprocessing you're comparing !

Reprocessing ceramic oxide fuel (UO2, PuO2) is expensive.

In contrast, it is relatively easy to (re)process liquid fluoride fuel (UF4, ThF4), as was done at the MSRE high-temperature thermal neutron reactor in Oak Ridge, decades ago.
