[ RadSafe ] HPS/ANSI N13 and N43 Standards

The Health Physics Society is secretariat to two Accredited Standards Committees (ASCs)- N13 and N43. The two ASCs, along with the HPS Standards Committee (HPSSC) and the HPS Standards Coordinator, constitute the HPS standards organization. All of the Standards N13 and N43 Standards developed and published by HPS will only be available from HPS.

ANSI/HPS N13.53 Control and Release of Technologically Enhanced Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material, was just published to the HPS web site within the last week or so.
It is now available to HPS members from the members only section of the HPS website.  It should be available soon from the ANSI web site, but hasn't shown up there yet.

Not if it's done correctly. Examples were it still isn't are the mining
industry (not just U-mines, but all mines. ) and the oil and gas industry
(i.e TENORM). Perhaps if the  finally approved ANSI/HPS N13.13 is used this
will get "better"
