Hello Humberto:
Sorry I was unable to get back to you yesterday, but I was out of the
office. I had my HP take a look at the 2 LSC's we have and the Wallac is what we
feel you would want. The Beckman is in need of some repair, just how much we
can't say. The Wallac runs and everything seems to work OK. Our HP did say
that there appears to be a "chatter" in the feed drive, but he thinks it
probably just needs a good cleaning. The machine is a 1989 vintage as near as
we can tell, but from what we heard was only used once. Why that is, I don't
know. We've got all the books and other printed material that came with it,
so it's a pretty complete package. We would be willing to sell it for $5000,
as is and the shipping and handling would be extra. Wallac, as you probably
know is a Finnish machine and is somewhat the "Cadillac" of the industry,
(although that may be the wrong analogy to use these days). This machine may
need a little work, but should be a good replacement for your old Packard
Tri-Carb once you get it serviced.
If you are interested, we could even work out a deal whereby we would trade
the machine for a portion of your annual rad waste disposal contract. We
still do service California, even though we shut down our PWN facility in
Vista, and are out there about every 6 weeks. I'm not even sure how much, if
any, rad waste you folks generate, but if you are interested in exploring this
further let me know.
Thanks for your interest, Humberto! Have a nice weekend!
