Rosalie is not a "radiation expert". She is a dedicated antinuclear activist.

Alpha particles are not "radioactive" and are not "bullets".

Alpha particle radiation is part of the natural environment.

Dogs who inhaled milligram quantities of uranium oxide at then
University of Rochester displayed no ill effects.

I sat next to Rosalie Bertell at a Senate hearing in which she seemed
surprised to learn and objected to my statement that the average
American is exposed to a total of over 20 rem in normal lifetime from
natural radiation sources. By the way, this exposure is mostly from
alpha radiation. That's a lot of alpha particles!
