Hello,

Since the book on Chernobyl strongly contradicts the "mainstream" 
reports on Chernobyl (e.g. WHO, UNSCEAR), and is according to other 
messages on Radsafe based on junk science (which I don't argue 
against), why was it then published by the New York Academy of 
Sciences (NYAS)?  What type of review or oversight does the NYAS 
perform before publication?

This book has received wide coverage in the general press, and is 
being heavily promoted by those wishing to stop nuclear power.  The 
prestige of the NYAS gives credence to the book.    Should the NYAS 
be asked to comment?
