I've read several press accounts of this incident and they mention the FBI
statement that "computer monitors normally emit small amounts of
radiation". I'm not aware of monitors having elevated levels of
radioactivity. Does anybody have better information on this? CRT's of
course generate x-rays but this monitor was packed in baggage so it was
off. Anyway, who travels with a CRT? It must have been a LED monitor,
probably a laptop. This whole thing makes less and less sense.
