[ RadSafe ] Personnel Surface Contamination Resulting from Working in or Walking Through Airborne Contamination

Has anyone done any calculations or made any measurements of how much surface contamination someone would get on them from working in airborne contamination, or walking through an area with airborne contamination? References to the literature would be helpful as well.
