Dear Radsafe:

     From: _jpreisig at aol.com_ (mailto:jpreisig at aol.com) .

     Hmmmmmm,

Yes, I am familiar with the various earthquake types --- my PhD
is in geophysics/seismology/
Very Long Baseline Interferometry. Hope the details about
strike-slip versus subduction
earthquakes was instructive for other members of the list.

Want to see earthquake epicenters and scientific details about them
--- do a google search on

usgs and look for the global plot of Earthquake seismicity. The
plot and associated
     earthquake list are updated frequently.

I hear stories via the NEWS that North Korea is planning an
underground nuclear device
test soon??? You might be able to see such an event in the USGS
earthquake list.

Have a good week!!! Regards, Joseph R. (Joe) Preisig, PhD
