Another problem is the continual use of Edwin Lyman as an "expert" on
nuclear reactors by the news media - the HPS should provide the news media
with a list of on-call experts and also complain about the continual use of
Edwin Lyman and the others like Michio Kaku who paraded across our TV
screens during the initial crisis.

"The e-mails provide a candid picture of the level of uncertainty and
confusion within the U.S. government and indicates that even U.S. experts
had major divisions about what was going on and how to best mitigate the
crisis,” said Edwin Lyman, a senior scientist and nuclear expert at the
Union of Concerned Scientists"
