Today, EPA posted job announcements for three supervisory positions in the Office of Radiation and Indoor Air's National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory and National Center for Radiation Field Operations on USAJobs. These announcements will be open for applications until March 12, 2013.


Director, Center For Planning & Training (CPT), National Center For Radiation Field Operations (NCRFO) /GS-14, Las Vegas NV. The CPT Director oversees EPA's nationwide activities that include:

*        Developing national and local radiological response planning efforts

*        Creating radiation training programs and field exercises on field radiological emergency response operations

*        Ensuring personnel readiness for field operations

*        Providing radiological technical support to EPA and partners

Director, Center For Radiation Preparedness & Response (CRPR), National Center For Radiation Field Operations (NCRFO) /GS-14, Las Vegas, NV. The CRPR Director oversees EPA's nationwide activities that include:

*        Providing radiological technical support to EPA and partners

*        Managing and executing field responses and exercises

*        Maintaining field radiation monitoring and sampling assets

*        Conducting field monitoring and technical consultation for radiological field operations, emergencies and cleanup activities

Director, Center For Environmental Monitoring (CEM), National Analytical Radiation Environmental Laboratory (NAREL) /GS-14, Montgomery AL. The CEM director oversees EPA's nationwide activities that include:

*        Performing environmental radiation studies and near real-time radiation monitoring

*        Managing EPA's radon instrument evaluation and testing programs

*        Conducting field monitoring and laboratory analyses for radiological emergencies and cleanup activities

*        Providing radiological technical support to EPA, other federal agencies and states

*        Providing quality assurance support to the EPA ambient air monitoring networks
