	According to this article, a proposed 300 
megawatt natural gas plant will make up for the 
loss of 2200 megawatts from San Onofre.

	Also:

"The California Independent System Operator, 
which operates the state grid, predicted last 
month that summer consumption would increase 2.3 
percent from last year but that additional 
generation would allow utilities to meet demand ­ even without San Onofre."

	Sounds to me like someone whistling past the graveyard.
