*Free Course on the History of Terrorism*

Dear Colleagues:

General Charles Krulak, former Commandant of the US Marine Corp and
President of Birmingham-Southern College, is extending an invitation to
participate in an 8-week free course on the history of terrorism.  The
class is taught by Dr. Randall Law, a Fulbright Scholar and an expert in
the history of terrorism.

General Krulak has allowed me to extend this invitation to anyone in the
nuclear community, so I invite you to consider the subject and the course.

  Dear BSC Alumni,

I am writing you today to invite you to join us in a groundbreaking
educational venture—a free online course on the history of terrorism,
taught by a Birmingham-Southern College professor and open to all.  This
eight-week non-credit class begins on September 8, 2014 and is designed to
help a broad audience analyze the causes of and responses to terrorism, one
of the greatest challenges of our time.

I believe we cannot properly shape our policy and processes without a deep
understanding of terrorism in a historical context and how it has developed
into what we face today and will face tomorrow.  Who better to share that
information than a BSC professor who is a leader in that field?  The class
is taught by Dr. Randall Law, a Fulbright Scholar and an expert in the
history of terrorism.  Dr. Law has written a key book on the subject
