[ RadSafe ] Brain Cancer elite

Dear Radsafe,

     Quite a while ago now, Ted Kennedy died of a brain tumor.  Probably
was a difficult case for treatment then etc.

     In the last 6 months or so, former US President Jimmy Carter was
diagnosed with brain cancer, and received treatment via some form of new
drug.  Drug cost $100K per year and he took the drug for three months???  I
hear Carter is now Cancer-free.  Pretty good for an old guy.  Guess you can
look up the details on the internet.  Don't know which cancer each guy had.

    Cancer treatments --- surgery, chemotherapy, various radiation
treatments, new drugs, t-cell therapy, engineered viruses, laser
surgery,...guess Cancer treatments are advancing well.  Wonder if the
overall USA cancer rate will increase rapidly as the baby-boomers continue
to get older.
