[ RadSafe ] thoriated lamp mantles etc - A Question

I note that Ted De Castro was asking about radioactive lamp mantles, 
which are now virtually unobtainable.

I also use them as check sources - but note, do NOT keep them with any 
alpha detectors 'cos the plateout of thoron daughters will give your 
instruments a (temporary) huge background count problem.

Question: is there a potential market for small vials or bottles of 
monazite sand as check sources??
