Dear All,
After 2,5 years of very intense work, I am pleased to inform you that The Fukushima Daiichi Accident – Report by the Director General and five technical volumes have been posted on the IAEA website earlier this week. You can access it under the following link:
http://www-pub.iaea.org/books/IAEABooks/10962/The-Fukushima-Daiichi-Accident
I would like to use this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout this project. This publication is the result of the dedicated efforts of all people involved including the NS staff, and an example of a great team work.
I am sure that this reports will serve as key reference document on the Fukushima Daiichi Accident for many years to come.
The Report succeeded in providing a broad knowledge base on the causes and consequences of the accident and presenting observations and lessons that will contribute to enhancing nuclear and radiation safety and emergency preparedness and response worldwide.
I hope it can form the basis of the future programme of the IAEA.
Best regards,
