Brad, you say: "I haven't needed to look up a sealed source construction in a few years, but it seems these are much harder to find now than they used to be."  You are correct. This information is contained in Sealed Source and Device registration sheets, maintained by the NRC, access to which is now restricted to those radiation control officials who have a need-to-know.  Other interested parties are out of luck.
