> Effective July 2017, Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (the “REACH Regulation”) was amended to include NPEs (nonylphenol ethoxylates), which are used in various PerkinElmer LSC products, as a substance subject to authorization. Although the sale and marketing of NPEs for other uses is banned effective January 4, 2021,PerkinElmer may continue to sell, and, as a customer who currently purchases LSC products containing NPES, you may continue to purchase and use, LSC products containing NPEs for scientific research and development use, as defined in Article 3(1) of the REACH Regulation. The product Safety Data Sheets provide instructions on preventing environmental releases through proper waste disposal. For more information regarding these regulations, we would encourage you to contact your local regulatory official.
