Is the following statement accurate?
"Modern nuclear reactors are said to be “passively safe”. That means that
even if everyone working there walked away, and a meltdown occurred, the
radioactive material would melt ‘plugs’ in the floor of the main
containment area.
This melted material would drop down into a container where it would sit
and cool down over a very long period."
To illustrate this point the answer included a diagram of a CANDU reactor
but I did not see the supposed meltable plugs in the floor or the sumps.
