A useful site for general information for both patients and physicians is

http://www.noah.cuny.edu/cancer/cantypes.html#A

A host of information on cancer, treatment, diet, side effects, etc. can be
found at

http://www.noah.cuny.edu/cancer/cancer.html

By using fractionating the dose and limiting the exposed area, very high doses
can be delivered to treat the cancer. The somatic symptoms are very common and
are manageable, but there will be a significant weight loss, especially if
chemotherapy will be prescribed. I wish your relative a good outcome.
