RE: Will the LNT fiction kill again?

There is an ongoing study of radiologic technologists in regard to their
longterm health and occupational doses received. I believe that it is the
University of Minnesota in conjunction with the ARRT that is doing the
study.

Medical dose is the greatest man made dose to humans. What
is in the way of
someone doing a correct epidemiological study of all people
in the US who have
had medical doses, therapeutic and diagnostic, to find out
if there are any
beneficial effects from the radiation. We know there are
beneficial results
medically from the doses or they wouldn't have been done
(except procedures for
legal purposes). But, are there any ancillary benefits,
e.g. hormesis? Could
such studies be done in other countries? Who would do the
work? Who would fund
it? Or is this just dreaming? Al Tschaeche
