Off the top of my head, that is probably an ok number if the Pu is taken into the body. However, most of the Pu ingested will be excreted in a fairly short period of time. Such being the case the actual dose is much less.

If I calculated correctly, 1/200 ounce of ingested, insoluble
Pu-239 would give a committed effective dose equivalent of around
2000 rem (remember, that's over a fifty year period)...certainly
not "immediately lethal"...
