Certainly you'll explain why Iowa has one of the highest general radon

Tom,
Thank-you for the kind words concerning the Iowa Radon Lung Cancer Study.
I am sincerely sorry I can not respond to all your comments due to time
constraints I have this week. Tom, Iowa has the highest mean residential
radon concentrations in the nation. But, the reason Iowa ranks lower in lung
cancer rates is because the smoking rates in Iowa are generally less than the
national average. However, lung cancer will account for one of every four
cancer deaths in Iowa. About 15% of these cancer deaths occur in NEVER
smokers. In 1997, smoking related cancer deaths were the fourth leading
cause of death in Iowa.
Feel free to email me next week with other specific questions, I should have
more time to address them.
