There is little or no indication that the evidence produced by the 
individuals for the hearing is correct or incorrect.  It would appear that 
the responsibility is now on the government to produce "evidence" that would 
discredit or clarify the "doctored" document.  I hardly see how a legislative 
hearing could become a witch hunt.  If the records are "doctored" or "false" 
it is the governments responsibility to refute the misstatements.  Is this 
not democracy at work?
