That is very true, however, I believe when you are talking about decay in
storage, aren't we usually talking about isotopes with a half life <90 days?
That is my understanding.

I may be getting in on this a little late, The validity of the above
statement depends on how much you started with. One percent of a
hundred curies, depending on the radionuclide could still be of
concern.
