Mike,

Go to Dose Rate meters as soon as you can due to the long dead time at high 
concentrations and erroneous meter measurements. Approximately 50K dpm equals 
1 mrad/hr, open window, from a power plant perspective of isotopes, and is 
based on your nuclear mix.
