Health Physics Society => Radiation Safety Society

I agree that it would be easier to tell people what I do if I were a
Radiation Safety Specialist rather than a Health Physicist. However, I must
admit I would hesitate to lose the historical connotations of the term
"Health Physics".

In fact, we can call ourselves whatever we want, and like Peter, I usually
tell people I work in radiation safety. However, as a Society, we are
shaped as much by our history as by our present membership. Is it possible
to find a name that manages to convey both our history and our profession
without being too cumbersome? Maybe Radiation Safety/Health Physics Society
(RS/HPS)?
Or, we could always go for American Radiation Safety Experts (ARSE)...
