Re: Monozite Sand

Monazite contains from 3 to 9 percent thorium oxide. Small amounts of
uranium are often associated with monazite deposits, as are trace
quantities of the rare earth elements gadolinium, lanthanum, lutetium,
neodymium, and samarium--all of which have naturally occuring
     radioactive isotopes.

I am looking for information on concentrations of radioactive material
in monozite sand. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
