No Mas

Regretfully, I too have had enough. When subscribing to this listserver, I
had hoped it would be an enlightening, useful, professional atmosphere where
information could be passed between parties in the same profession. What I
soon realized is that this listserver is a forum for a few individuals (look
at your delete file) who have nothing better to do than to pontificate and
debate ad nauseum. Yes there are a few gems every now and then (thanks Pete
for a serious question today), but 90% of it is worthless. This is sad. I
would've hoped that people like the Cohen's, Slavings et al could find their
own forum. It seems the people who consistently post here spend more time
trying to show how smart they are, rather than seriously discuss issues
pertinent to our profession. You know who you are. I truly apologize for
offending those who post here with good intentions, you also know who you
are. I can just no longer justify receiving 200+ emails a day, 90% of which
are flogging the proverbial dead horse. I also praise Melissa for her
valiant efforts, too bad she gets no cooperation. (how many times has she
said to quit a thread and you STILL continue?)

The bottom line? The inconsiderate (professionals?) people on here won't
change, (can't even get some people to speak privately, or cut the original
message in their reply) and neither will the anti's who continue to post
here and egg you all into endless debate. AGAIN, I am talking about the
"regular" posters, not those of you who unfortunately do have a serious
question periodically. Maybe those "regulars" could start their own
listserver and debate among themselves. I personally have subscriptions to
other listservers that are more professional and pertinent to my job. If
you would like the addresses, let me know.

Finally, if you would like to respond, PLEASE do it privately, if you can't,
won't or don't know how then don't bother.

respectfully yours,
